
Baba Agba
Baba Agba is a Lagos, Nigeria based filmmaker and photographer. He is a graduate of Economics from the prestigious Queen Mary, University of London, and has various filmmaking diplomas from Met Film School at Ealing Studios, London. Baba has worked across various sectors in his over a decade career in the creative industries. He has worked directly with professionals in other creative fields on collaborative projects in fashion, film, television, music and fine arts.
He has produced and also collaborated with other filmmakers across the globe in the production of numerous films, music videos and commercials. His work has featured and is exhibited at leading local and international film festivals and platforms such as Netflix where his feature film Ojukokoro: Greed recently premiered. He has also been nominated and has won prestigious local and international awards for his work both as a filmmaker and photographer.
He was a member of the Creative Industries Post Covid-19 Recovery Plan Committee of the Federal government of Nigeria and was subsequently nominated as a member of the implementation committee. Baba is also currently the National Secretary of the Association of Movie Producers, the apex organization for producers in Nigeria.
His practical cross sector local experience, exposure to international best practices, industries and markets as well as his global network make him a key resource person on creative industries policy and development. He is married and the union is blessed with a son. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, playing golf, watching films and television shows.
